Nike REACT vs Adidas BOOST!

Today we are talking about the BIG question, the thing that everyone is discussing at the moment; which brand is doing better in the market at the moment? As per usual culture, we have a big discussion; Nike or Adidas? Which of the two are doing better job at the moment?

How does each brand stack up to the competition? Let’s find out. We’ll be comparing Nike React to Adidas Boost and which one has the best cushioning technology.

Starting things off with the old standby, we’ve got the boost, which was originally released in 2015. As you could probably tell from the Styrofoam look on the mid-sole of the sneaker, boost is made up of tiny little boost pallets that are compressed and heated together until they expand into the mold of the mid-sole. When boost was released, it was hailed as the most comfortable cushioning technology of all times and it was designed as a running cushion. While boost provided the super soft and super comfortable mid-sole it did seem a little bit too soft and did sort of flatten out over time. Some runners found it a little bit too mushy and they thought that the boost didn’t give you much lateral stability. In our opinion, for lifestyle wear boost is incredible but it’s still not the most stable running shoe in the world.

A few years later after boost was first released, Nike released ironically named Nike React cushion. It’s ironic because they were reacting to boost. React quickly became Nike’s flagship cushioning technology. React, although slightly less softer than Boost, is better for runs for the fact that while still soft it offers a lot more response and a lot more bounce. React is pretty surprisingly durable, even though the footprint of the shoe is slightly thinner than the boost, it still feels a little bit more stable and that’s because the foam is slightly firm. When it comes to overall comfort, we still prefer boost because although React is soft and comfortable it just doesn’t have that cloud-like feel of boost and for the best running solution between these two? Nike React is the answer.
